You'll develop and manage content across channels, coordinate a yearly content calendar, oversee newsletters and digital channels, and support fundraising and events to strengthen the College's identity.
Location: Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire
Working pattern: Part time
Malvern College is looking for a Senior Communications Officer to join the Malvernian Society, its Advancement team. It is a forward-looking team in a culture that emphasises the development of people.
The Malvernian Society connects former pupils of Malvern College, The Downs Malvern and Ellerslie School, past staff, parents, and alumni of Malvern College International schools. Its core aim is to foster a lifelong connection with the College ("Your Community for Life"). The Advancement team also leads fundraising for the College, so clear, inspiring and effective communication is central to its success.
As Senior Communications Officer, you will deliver professional, engaging communications to alumni, the wider community and College staff. You will encourage meaningful two-way engagement and make sure all communications reflect the College's values and identity.
Malvern College provides an all round education for pupils aged 13 to 18 and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All employees are expected to share this commitment, to have regard to the Children Act 2004 and Keeping Children Safe in Education (as amended), and to attend appropriate safeguarding training. Candidates must be prepared to undergo child protection screening and an Enhanced DBS check.
References will be sought for shortlisted candidates and will include questions about past disciplinary actions or allegations relating to behaviour with children. Previous employers may be approached to verify experience or qualifications before interview.
All employees must take reasonable care not to endanger themselves or others at work and must co-operate with the College on its health and safety duties.
