NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when including regional and national services.
The roles are based at Walton Annex, Glasgow Royal Infirmary, with a hybrid working pattern: two days in the office and the rest remote.
Our team manages national contracts tendered by National Procurement for Health Boards, focusing on legal compliance and cost-saving initiatives aligned with our Sustainability & Value Programme. These positions have been created to meet the evolving needs of our services and to develop an optimal skill mix for the future.
The Commercial Procurement teams handle various spend categories, including Medical/Surgical Consumables, Facilities, Estates, Corporate, and Capital Equipment, along with maintenance contracts. A dedicated team also focuses on Sustainability & Value activities.
