Job summary

Applied Automation is seeking an experienced commissioning engineer to join our Engineering Solutions team in the UK. You will work with the Manufacturing Manager and build teams to ensure projects are production ready and meet FAT criteria.

Responsibilities include leading daily meetings, coordinating commissioning activities, de-risking test phases, and traveling to sites to train customers. A proactive communicator with mechanical, controls and software understanding is essential to drive

Qualifications

• Experience testing and commissioning automated machinery.
• Experience in project-driven manufacturing environments.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design, controls and software.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication to motivate technical teams.
• Customer-centric mindset with results focus.

Responsibilities

• Host daily board meetings and set priorities with the project team.
• Commission or support commissioning on shop floor and coordinate resources.
• Identify de-risking activities for commissioning and test phases.
• Liaise with project managers and stakeholders to track progress.
• Travel to sites in the UK and overseas for training and sign-off as required.
• Represent Applied Automation on-site and manage client relationships.
