Responsibilities

• Service existing business while underwriting within risk selection, appetite, and authority.
• Follow the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities.
• Achieve bottom line, top line, and expense targets by managing to the region's KPIs.
• Enhance Arch’s local presence by building strong relationships with brokers and staff.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to support conversion and broker relationships.
• Share technical and market intelligence with the Regional Director and wider team.
• Collaborate with claims and survey teams when needed.

This role is focused on achieving income and profit objectives by delivering an efficient case underwriting service to brokers. You’ll be actively involved in on‑site broker development, supporting the technical management of the regional account in line with our regional strategy, financial plan, and personal objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial insurance underwriting who is looking to grow their career in a dynamic and expanding regional office.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Service existing business while underwriting within risk selection, appetite, and authority.
• Follow the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities.
• Achieve bottom line, top line, and expense targets by managing to the region’s Key Performance Indicators.
• Enhance Arch’s local presence by building strong relationships with key directors and staff at the region’s most important brokers.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to support conversion and broker relationships.
• Maintain and develop personal technical knowledge.
• Share technical and commercial market intelligence with the Regional Director and wider team.
• Collaborate with other departments, especially claims and survey teams, when needed.
