Job summary

Allianz UK is recruiting for a Commercial Combined Senior Underwriter based at our Maidstone office, with hybrid working and an expectation to attend 2-3 days per week. You will underwrite complex risks, develop broker partnerships, analyse risk and contribute to regional growth strategies, while ensuring regulatory compliance and governance.

This senior role involves mentoring junior underwriters and acting as a technical referral point, helping shape the UK’s leading commercial insurer.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Commercial Combined underwriting and related lines.
• Ability to coach and mentor colleagues within the underwriting team.
• Proven track record owning and managing broker relationships, including large/complex cases.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across the business.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial combined risks in line with appetite and authority.
• Develop trusted broker partnerships to unlock opportunities and strengthen market presence.
• Analyse risk exposures, terms and pricing using underwriting tools.
