Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an experienced Estimator (Commercial Roofing) for a role in Clitheroe, offering £50,000 - £60,000 plus bonus, company car/allowance, training, pension and 33 days annual leave.

The successful candidate will prepare cost estimates, tenders and Bills of Quantities for a range of commercial and public sector projects, with responsibility for site surveys, client liaison and risk assessment. A background in metal or flat roofs or building envelopes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal or flat commercial roofs or specialist building envelopes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with post-Grenfell remediation projects and EWS1 (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-tender and pre-contract facade surveys to identify condition, substrate, fixings and refurbishment requirements.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, architects and engineers.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, cost breakdowns, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Produce detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial/public sector projects.
