We care for over a million objects and hundreds of historic sites across England, making them accessible and inspiring for all.

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager to join our team on a full-time basis for a two year, fixed-term contract with a view to extend.

The Benefits
  • Salary from £50,869 depending on skills, experience and location
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, pro rata, rising to 28 days after 3 years
  • Matched pension contributions up to 10%
  • Flexible hours
  • The opportunity to progress your career within the heritage sector
  • Subscriptions to professional bodies
  • Free access to all English Heritage sites for you and up to six friends and family members
  • 25% discount in our shops and cafes
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity or shared parental leave
  • Options to buy additional leave
  • An inclusive working atmosphere where everybody is supported from all backgrounds, religions and with different needs
  • Opportunities to go to some of our great live music and history events

This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven relationship manager with project or partnership management experience to join a successful team as we grow our vision and ambition for Corporate Partnerships at English Heritage.

You’ll discover the chance to make a real impact that resonates across our considerable estate as part of an exceptional team that works together to fulfil our mission of making heritage accessible to everyone.

What’s more, you’ll discover a rewards package designed to support you to thrive, taking care of everything from flexible working locations to everyday discounts, and removing the concerns that prevent you from reaching your potential.

Your Role

As Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager, you will be delivering some of our most significant commercial partnerships, unlocking the value of our brand and working with organisations to deliver brand new, unexplored business streams.

Building long-term partnership plans that maximise value and impact, you’ll create and lead project teams to support partnership delivery and maximise value for us in terms of visitors, membership and brand reach.

You will also support the development of new commercial income streams in collaboration with the Senior Innovation Manager, identifying, pitching and driving forward new opportunities within existing partnerships.

Additionally, you will:
  • Engage senior decision makers within partner organisations to develop plans for retention and growth
  • Achieve income targets for commercial partnerships
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of market and competitor activity
  • Ensure contractual agreements are water‑tight to protect our interests
  • Maintain relevant data on prospects and partners through our CRM system
What You’ll Bring

To be considered as our Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager, you will need:

  • Substantial commercial partnership management experience, with a track record of securing and/or account managing six and seven figure sponsorships, commercial partnerships or projects
  • Experience of working to, and achieving, ambitious financial targets
  • Experience of record keeping and information management
  • Experience of managing projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Financial administration experience, including the ability to manage complex financial data and spreadsheets
  • A passion for growing and developing support for English Heritage
  • Confidence and strong problem‑solving and creative thinking capabilities
  • The ability to work independently on multiple tasks to prioritise competing deadlines

Other organisations may call this role Partnerships Manager, Corporate Partnerships Manager, Relationship Manager, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, or Commercial Manager.

First interviews will be held on Friday 5th December, virtually, with second interviews taking place ideally in‑person the following week.
