Job summary

Informed Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to act as a specialist advisor across commercial, contractual and procurement functions for social housing projects.

The role focuses on leading commercial activities, advising on contract drafting, and managing a stock of core and bespoke agreements. You will work within a hybrid setup, based with regular presence in the Birmingham office, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic Commercial Management within Social Housing Asset Management and related sectors.
• Strong technical experience with commercials in building systems, construction, building regulations, compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of housing law and social housing regulation.
• Experience with standard construction contracts covering JCT, RICS, NEC forms and RIBA.
• Contract dispute resolution experience.
• Relevant certification or degree such as FCILEx or ACILEx or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial and contract functions across procurement frameworks and activities.
• Advise stakeholders on the drafting of contractual documentation and governance.
• Manage core contracts, forms, and bespoke agreements; support award of new contracts.
• Utilise subject matter expertise to advise on JCT, RICS, TAC-1/FAC contracts, framework contracts and pre-construction services agreements.
• Ensure contractual arrangements are robust, compliant and aligned to acceptable risk profiles.
