Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to support a major rail infrastructure programme within the EKFB supply chain. You will lead audit, verification and review of subcontractor costs, ensuring independent commercial assurance and NEC contract compliance across the project.

The role requires a track record in cost verification, commercial auditing and working within large, complex supply chains, preferably on HS2 or EKFB programmes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Senior Commercial Manager on major infrastructure projects.
• Proven cost verification and commercial auditing track record.
• Strong rail sector experience and NEC contract knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review, audit and verify subcontractor costs, applications and supporting records.
• Assess validity of cost submissions, compensation events and change-related claims.
• Provide robust commercial challenge and assurance across the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with NEC contractual obligations and governance procedures.
• Analyse cost data and identify commercial risks, discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Produce detailed audit reports and recommendations for project stakeholders.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution through evidence-based commercial assessments.
• Work collaboratively with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to maintain cost transparency and commercial integrity.
