Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a permanent Senior Commercial Manager for projects in Grimsby under National Grid's Great Grid Partnership. The role leads project commercial performance and supports the team delivering power infrastructure, with responsibilities spanning subcontract procurement, contract administration, settlements and valuations.

The candidate must have a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management degree, NEC subcontract experience, and a track record on large infrastructure

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Experience administering live NEC subcontracts.
• Experience delivering large infrastructure schemes (long linear works / HV projects).
• Power, energy or infrastructure sector experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Procure subcontractors and administer their accounts.
• Negotiate settlements and oversee valuations; manage payments.
• Identify value changes, recover variations, and manage risks/opportunities.
• Prepare interim applications, claims and commercial agreements; cost forecasts.
• Provide contract reviews and input to the Business Plan Review submissions.
• Develop commercial staff and provide guidance to delivery teams.
• Maintain project controls and relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants.
