Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a permanent Senior Commercial Manager for projects in Grimsby under National Grid's Great Grid Partnership. The role leads project commercial performance and supports the team delivering power infrastructure, with responsibilities spanning subcontract procurement, contract administration, settlements and valuations.

The candidate must have a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management degree, NEC subcontract experience, and a track record on large infrastructure

Competenze

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Experience administering live NEC subcontracts.
• Experience delivering large infrastructure schemes (long linear works / HV projects).
• Power, energy or infrastructure sector experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a permanent Senior Commercial Manager for projects in Grimsby under National Grid's Great Grid Partnership. The posting gives Waltham, Grimsby as the location. The manager will lead project commercial performance and support the team responsible for delivering power infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

The manager must identify and value change, negotiate recovery of variations, and manage risks and opportunities. Interim applications, claims and commercial agreements form part of the remit, alongside cost forecasts, contract reviews and Business Plan Review submissions. The role provides contractual advice to delivery teams and develops commercial staff from assistant surveyor through manager level.

It also maintains project controls and working relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants. Candidates need a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and experience administering live NEC subcontracts. Previous delivery of large infrastructure schemes, including long linear works or high-voltage projects, is required.
