Kenton Black Limited is recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager to join a major highways infrastructure project in the North West. You will lead commercial performance, contract compliance and value protection alongside the established project team.

This permanent, on-site role involves managing NEC contracts, cost control, CVRs, subcontract payments, variations and final accounts on a high-profile scheme. You will drive commercial governance and reporting across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or highways.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing project costs, subcontractors and commercial change.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• A commercially driven approach to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of project activities, ensuring financial targets and contractual obligations are met.
• Manage cost control, forecasting, CVRs and commercial reporting.
• Oversee subcontract procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Administer NEC contracts and manage change, compensation events and commercial risk.
• Identify opportunities to maximise value and protect project profitability.
• Work closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Ensure robust commercial governance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
