The UK House of Lords is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead procurement efforts in ICT, managing significant projects and strategies. The role requires strong commercial expertise, stakeholder management skills, and a thorough understanding of procurement legislation. We are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Parliamentary Commercial Directorate (PCD).
PCD is expected to become a joint department of both Houses later in 2025, led by a new Chief Commercial Officer and strengthening PCD’s position as a cross-parliament function.You willwork as part of a growing and ambitious function, committed to ensuringthe value for money from our nearly £1bn in annual spend and supporting transformational projects across the organisation and our estate, including at the Palace of Westminster which is a UNECSO world heritage site.
You’ll have responsibility within the ICT category, or for a specific sub-category, supporting on delivering high value and complex procurements which will range from Cloud Software (SAAS) to Hardware or End User Devices to Network Infrastructure. You will also be a trusted partner and advisor to business areas and projects that you are supporting – whilst also being trusted to deliver digital procurement projects with autonomy and drawing upon your extensive knowledge and experience.
This is an opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, with an expectation to be on-site at Parliament for a minimum of 2 days per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong experience and knowledge as a commercial professional, with understanding of procurement legislation and who is keen to apply their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment across various projects and stakeholders.
