Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading UK infrastructure contractor on a major highways project in the North West. The role is based on-site in Penrith, Cumbria, with a salary up to £92,000 and a comprehensive company benefits package.

You will lead commercial management, oversee cost control, forecasts, CVRs and subcontract payments, and administer NEC contracts to ensure successful project delivery and profitability within a major A66 highways

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or highways.
Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
Experience managing project costs, subcontractors and commercial change.
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
A commercially driven approach to project delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead the commercial management of project activities, ensuring financial targets and contractual obligations are met.
Manage cost control, forecasting, CVRs and commercial reporting.
Oversee subcontract procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.
Administer NEC contracts and manage change, compensation events and commercial risk.
Identify opportunities to maximise value and protect project profitability.
Work closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors.
Ensure robust commercial governance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
