Job summary
Luton Bennett is seeking a Commercial Manager (Project / Sales) in Ipswich to lead commercial activities on engineering projects from tender to delivery. You will own the sales forecast, manage stock levels in line with forecast, and validate pricing, margins and payment profiles while coordinating with the MD and cross-functional teams.
The role requires experience in engineering-related sectors, strong negotiation skills, ability to assess commercial risks, and a track record in post-project
Qualifications
- Experience in a commercially focused role within engineering, manufacturing, energy or similar.
- Ability to forecast sales and monitor commercial risks.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with post-project analysis for continuous improvement.
- Understanding of pricing, margins and payment profiles.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain sales forecast
- Control stock levels in line with sales forecast
- Validate pricing, margins, payment profiles etc.
- Negotiation with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
- Monitor project margins
- Complete post-project analysis for continuous improvement
- Work closely with sales, engineering and operations teams
