Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join the Energy team in Motherwell, supporting the Scottish Power Framework and DWNO project. You will drive commercial performance, manage risk, and coordinate with project teams to ensure successful delivery across overhead line upgrades and substation works.

The role requires NEC4 contract expertise, leadership of commercial teams, and strong stakeholder engagement with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related commercial discipline.
• Experience as a Commercial Manager in infrastructure, utilities, energy, civil engineering, or construction.
• Strong NEC4 contracts knowledge and experience delivering large, complex projects.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor commercial teams and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of projects to maximise profitability and performance.
• Manage all commercial and contractual aspects from pre-contract through final account.
• Support development and implementation of commercial strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Function as key commercial contact for clients, suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Oversee cost management, forecasting, cost value reconciliations, and financial reporting.
