Job summary

Enable is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial team overseeing a portfolio of infrastructure projects, with a focus on energy connections, HV, and renewables. The role emphasizes strong leadership, contract and cost management, and proactive commercial governance.

The ideal candidate will have senior QS/CM experience, a formal QS qualification (RICS preferred), and a track record in multi-project environments across pre-construction to final account stages.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager experience
• Proven line management and leadership qualities
• Formal QS qualification ideally degree level
• RICS membership
• Experience in infrastructure construction
• Energy connections / HV / Renewables experience advantageous
• Strong commercial and contract management skills
• Experience managing cost control, subcontractors, and reporting on multiple projects
• Confident in client and project team engagement

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial team to deliver effective management of a portfolio of projects from pre-construction to final account.
• Oversee turnover, cost and cash forecasting, change management and risk management with periodic financial reporting.
• Maintain IMS-aligned processes, accurate reports and proactive contract administration across projects.
• Line manage and train direct reports and represent the wider Commercial Team in internal and external contexts.
