A live pharmaceutical project in the Cambridge area.

  • Lead and manage teams of managers and professionals to deliver excellence.
  • Handle subcontractor contractual claims and changes.
  • Produce monthly client applications, approve invoices, and issue IPCs.
  • Draft technical and contractual correspondence.
  • Manage design consultants' and specialists' fees financially.
  • Ensure site activities comply with commercial and legal standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors.
  • Contribute to net zero carbon initiatives, managing associated emissions and reductions during project delivery.

Requirements:
  • Understanding of project construction plans.
  • Strong financial and commercial skills.
  • Experience chairing project cost and risk meetings.
  • Networking skills with clients and supply chains.
  • Membership in senior management and safety leadership teams.
  • Knowledge of current construction technologies.
  • Ability to cascade objectives and manage tools effectively.
  • Experience managing a wide range of contracts.
  • Leadership in commercial management teams.
  • Degree in quantity surveying or commercial management (or equivalent). CSCS certification.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Degree or MSc in quantity surveying or similar.
  • Presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Contract law knowledge for risk mitigation and key clause management.
  • Chartership with CIOB or RICS is advantageous.
  • Experience with diverse construction projects and contracts.
  • Leadership style that builds high-performing teams.
  • Strategic project management approach.
  • Client requirement understanding and business promotion.
  • Ability to coach and mentor colleagues.
