Job summary

Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is delivering Sizewell C in partnership with its client and major industry partners. The Senior Commercial Manager will oversee complex, multi-million-pound contracts and steer procurement, risk and financial governance across the marine and tunneling works.

You will lead a high-calibre team, coordinate with clients, suppliers and regulators, and drive commercial success for the Sizewell C program with a structured leadership approach and strong contract management

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Chartered Member or Fellow of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
• Experience leading large commercial teams.
• Experience in high-value construction or energy projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and financial management skills.
• Forward-thinking with understanding of wider economic factors in construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial team and drive financial success across marine and tunnels works.

Senior Commercial Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within theCWA Wide Section.

What will you do?

We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Manager with deep industry experience and a passion for leadership. In this senior role, you’ll manage complex, multi-million-pound projects from inception to completion, overseeing everything from procurement and contract negotiations to risk management and financial reporting. You'll be an integral part of the project senior leadership team, ensuring the commercial and financial success of each initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the commercial team and ensure financial success across the Marine and Tunnels section of works.
• Manage tendering, contract negotiations, and procurement processes.
• Provide strategic commercial input to the project, from planning through to delivery.
• Ensure effective risk management and contract compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Use your expertise to make critical decisions and ensure the project runs smoothly.

Skills & Experience:
