Job summary

Belong at Bovis is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial activities on a major project in the United Kingdom. You will oversee procurement, contract administration and client Liaison to ensure value, risk control and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates will have MRICS and a Quantity Surveying degree with extensive experience on large-scale construction programmes. A focus on governance, cost control and team leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication to influence and build relationships
• Ability to influence and lead teams
• Demonstrates skills in avoidance and defence of claims
• Tendering subcontract works packages of medium to high value
• Able to prepare subcontract documentation for engrossment by external parties
• Advanced word-processing, Excel and cost management software
• Knowledge of JCT, NEC, Construction Management and Management Contracting contracts
• Experience on projects above £30m in value

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial activities for the project
• Procurement of the project in accordance with strategy and limits of authority
• Liaise with Client team and manage supply chain relationships
• Implement and manage commercial, legal, insurance and risk controls
• Provide accurate commercial reporting and contract administration
• Ensure safe, timely and sustainable project delivery
• Maintain bonds, PCGs and insurance associated risks
• Production of Tender Recommendations and Subcontract docs
