Job summary

Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) in Bedford is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to drive commercial outcomes for the Customer Directorate. The role offers hybrid working and a £85,000 per annum salary, with responsibilities spanning sourcing, procurement and contract management to deliver value for money across the UK.

Qualifications

• Commercial, procurement or contract management experience is essential.
• Desirable MCIPS or World Commerce & Contracting accreditation or equivalent.
• Experience in complex or regulated environments; knowledge of PCR2015 and PA23 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical commercial leadership and advice to stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Lead sourcing, procurement activity and define route‑to‑market options with governance.
• Oversee contracts and grants through their lifecycle, monitor performance and drive value for money.
• Coach and develop commercial colleagues, and improve tools, templates, and processes across the function.
