Job summary

Matchtech Group in Leeds is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on a portfolio of M&E and building services projects across healthcare, defence, government, aviation, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

You will develop regional commercial strategies, manage revenue and margins, and lead a team to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships. Hybrid working arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Senior commercial leadership in M&E or engineering
• Background in quantity surveying and commercial management
• Experience managing regional project portfolio
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management
• Strategic yet hands-on when required
• Leadership in developing commercial teams
• Understanding of governance, forecasting, cost control, variations and final accounts

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial function across multiple M&E projects and programmes
• Develop and implement regional commercial strategies aligned with business objectives
• Manage revenue, margin, cash flow and cost control performance
• Review project budgets, forecasts, cost value reconciliations and final accounts
• Manage variations, claims and contractual entitlements
• Support major tenders and negotiated opportunities from pre-construction through to delivery
• Review contract terms, commercial risks and project risk profiles
• Lead dispute resolution and commercial negotiations with clients and supply chain partners
• Build and develop a high-performing commercial team
• Work closely with operational leaders and stakeholders to support successful project delivery and sustainable growth
