Cameron James Professional Recruitment is seeking a Senior Commercial Insurance Handler / Broker to join our client’s Sutton-based team. You will own a cross-class portfolio, lead junior staff, and act as a main point of contact for complex mid-market risks.

In this hybrid role, you’ll negotiate with insurers, develop renewal strategies, and build strong client relationships while mentoring colleagues and ensuring top-level service across Property Combined, General Liability, Fleet and Financial

Formación

• 5–10 years of experience in a commercial insurance broking environment.
• Strong understanding of mid-market commercial risks (liability, fleet, financial lines).
• Experience using Acturis is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence to meet clients and negotiate with underwriters.
• Proven ability to guide and review the work of junior staff.

Responsabilidades

• Portfolio Management: actively manage own cross-class book of commercial clients.
• Lead end-to-end renewal strategies and policy remarketing.
• Oversee and mentor junior Account Handlers within the team.
• Handle broking operations and high-value new business placements.
• Engage with clients regularly, including face-to-face meetings as required.
• Negotiate favourable terms with major insurers and Lloyds underwriters.
