Cameron James Professional Recruitment has partnered with a Coventry-based commercial broker to recruit a Senior Commercial Insurance Handler. You will own a diverse cross-class book and guide junior staff, balancing technical broking with client-facing duties.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in a commercial insurance broking environment.
• Strong understanding of mid-market risks including liability, fleet and financial lines.
• Ability to mentor junior Account Handlers and lead renewal strategies.

Responsibilities

• Own your cross-class commercial client book with premiums up to £400k per policy class.
• Lead end-to-end renewal strategies, policy remarketing, and high-value placements.
• Mentor and review work of junior Account Handlers within the team.
• Build long-term client relationships with regular contact and on-site meetings when needed.
• Negotiate terms with major insurers and Lloyds underwriters leveraging industry connections.
