The role
We have a thrilling new opportunity to join the University of Bristol in a new role as a Commercial Contracts Officer supporting the Campus Property and Infrastructure Team.
As Commercial Contracts Officer you will collaborate closely with Suppliers, building managers, and operational teams to help ensure our facilities and buildings are maintained to the highest compliance and safety standards. This supports the University vision of providing world‑class research and teaching spaces.
You will report into the Commercial Contracts Manager, which forms part of a newly created Commercial and Contract management discipline. You will work closely with the Head of Maintenance Services, and Head of Projects as well as colleagues in the wider Campus Team and in the Procurement Team, with the aim of ensuring we have high performing frameworks and contracts and efficient delivery of contractual commitments with our suppliers / contractors.
The University is expanding its portfolio with the new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus opening in Autumn 2026. This role will support the management of the Hard Facilities maintenance contract and provide contractual expertise for escalation of contractual issues internally and from Supplier.
