GI Group in the UK is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager (Commercial) to support a varied portfolio of UK and international contracts within Aerospace, Defence & Security. You will provide strategic commercial guidance to stakeholders and cross-functional teams, negotiating terms and leading risk mitigation.

The role requires strong contract law knowledge, P&L understanding and familiarity with export controls, with a track record of delivering compliant pricing and successful bid

Qualifications

• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with UK Government and international contracts.
• Strong knowledge of commercial finance including P&L, margins, FX.
• Understanding of export legislation, duties and controls.
• Solid contract law knowledge and practical application.
• Experience identifying commercial risks and mitigation strategies.
• MS Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Degree and/or qualification (IACCM/WCC) and/or defence contracting exposure.
• Familiarity with SAP software.
• Track record of driving best practice and knowledge sharing.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic commercial support across multiple contracts and bid activities.
• Draft, negotiate and administer complex terms, including flow-down to subcontractors.
• Develop commercial strategies and obtain internal approvals.
• Produce compliant pricing models aligned to cost estimates.
• Lead commercial correspondence and stakeholder communication.
• Draft and review NDAs, software licences and MOUs.
• Manage commercial risk, change control and performance obligations.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and governance.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
