Job summary

GetRecruited UK Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Commercial Broker to support corporate insurance placements and renewals. You will work on complex programmes with large premiums, negotiating with insurers and handling technical placement tasks.

The role emphasizes insurer relationships, rigorous market presentations and renewal activity, with a small independent team environment and no direct client generation required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Commercial Broker, Corporate Insurance Broker or Senior Commercial Account Handler with corporate or complex mid-market clients.
• Comfortable handling substantial premiums and technically demanding renewals.
• Construction insurance experience is useful; strong negotiation with underwriters required.
• Proficient use of Acturis for records, renewal activity and placement documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex corporate renewals with Account Executives to assemble required insurer information.
• Prepare market presentations and respond to underwriting queries clearly.
• Negotiate with insurers on premiums, cover, conditions and exclusions.
• Handle substantial construction risks and complex corporate placements.
• Broker covers including Professional Indemnity, Public and Employers' Liability, and Contractors All Risks.
• Review quotations, policy wordings and documentation for coverage issues.
• Develop insurer relationships and provide Account Executives with technical information.
• Use Acturis to manage records, renewals and placement documentation.
