Job summary

A leading company in Belfast is seeking a Senior Commercial Administrator to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing cost and value activities including payroll, budget preparation, and reporting, while ensuring collaborative work within the Commercial Team. An ideal candidate will have significant experience in commercial administration, excellent IT skills, and a relevant third-level qualification.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Commercial or Senior Commercial Administrator in high volume transactional environments.
  • Proficiency in M365 applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience processing high volume, low value work orders, ideally Utility Works.

Responsibilities

  • Record, check and run reports on cost and value using Causeway Project Accounting (CPA).
  • Accurately forecast, monitor and report project cost, value and cash.
  • Prepare monthly and final applications for payment.

Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client on the Airport Road in Belfast to recruit a new full time and permanent Senior Commercial Administrator to join their expanding team

The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the overall Commercial Team on a well-established and long term, highly collaborative Contract.

They will undertake various cost and value activities to support the successful delivery of commercial and accounts activities, including payroll; payments; purchasing; budget preparation and monitoring; cost and value management and reporting; commercial risk management; change control; cash flow; forecasting and final accounting.

Duties

  • Record, check and run reports on cost and value value utilising Causeway Project Accounting (CPA)
  • Calculate productivity bonus payments
  • Accurately forecast, monitor and report project cost, value and cash
  • Prepare monthly and final applications for payment
  • Assessment and payment of sub-contract applications for payment
  • Interrogate cost reports and interpret financial data reconciling cost and value
  • Weekly, monthly, and ad hoc commercial reports

Essential

  • Experience as a Commercial or Senior Commercial Administrator, preferably in high volume transactional environment
  • Excellent IT skills including the use of the M365 suite of applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with client facing attributes
  • Collaborative nature as a team member - within the Contract Commercial team, the NI Commercial Team and as part of the client's commercial team
  • Experience of processing high volume, low value work orders, ideally Utility Works
  • Experience of Causeway and Oracle accounting systems
  • Experience of PowerBI application
  • Third level qualification in Accountancy or Quantity Surveying
  • EU Driving Licence


Working office hours - salary 28-38K
