Job summary

Grain LNG Limited is seeking a seasoned COMAH Compliance & Safety Manager for its upper-tier COMAH terminal in the UK. You will lead the delivery of safe, compliant and reliable operations, balancing major accident hazard management with strong occupational health and safety leadership.

You will engage with the Competent Authority and drive continual improvement in process safety, workplace safety and regulatory readiness across the site.

Qualifications

• Extensive COMAH compliance and safety leadership at an upper-tier site.
• Proven ability to engage with regulators and the Competent Authority.
• Drives continual improvement in major accident hazard control and safety performance.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management across internal teams, regulators and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead COMAH compliance and safety management across the terminal.
• Provide safety leadership for occupational health and process safety performance.
• Oversee regulatory inspections, interventions and discussions with authorities.
• Manage site monitoring and assurance of contractor and operations activities.
• Embed SRAM principles and drive risk reduction alongside engineering teams.
• Lead hazard studies (HAZOP, LOPA, bow-tie) and safety-critical task reviews.
• Support emergency preparedness and Site Response Controller responsibilities when required.
