Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a clinical nurse endoscopist to join the Colorectal Surgery team at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham hospitals. The post is suitable for an experienced endoscopist trained in Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) and JAG guidelines.

You will provide endoscopy and outpatients services, participate in MDT, and help train staff in endoscopy and related areas. A driving licence is essential and flexible working options are available.

Qualifications

• Clinical nurse endoscopist with experience in endoscopy and outpatients.
• Knowledge of Faster Diagnosis Standards and cancer pathways.
• Trainable in endoscopy and non-endoscopy parts of the role.
• Eligible for BCSP National programme and JAG guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work in endoscopy and outpatients on a Trust-wide basis.
• Provide clinic services for cancer/benign patients per job plan.
• Offer cover for colleagues in their clinical area.
• Collaborate with the MDT for patient pathways.
• Contribute to training of nurses and medical staff in endoscopy.
