Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Endoscopist to join the expanding endoscopy service. The role involves autonomous practice, diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy, and adherence to JAG standards and patient safety.

The successful candidate will contribute to education, governance, and quality improvement, with a commitment to CPD and evidence-based practice within a NHS trust environment.

Qualifications

• Independent Upper and Lower GI colonoscopist with JAG accreditation.
• Educated to postgraduate diploma/degree level or equivalent experience.
• Non-medical prescribing and teaching/assessing qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy on sedated and non-sedated patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of GI pathology, indications, and complications; escalate concerns appropriately.
• Lead clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement within the endoscopy service.
