Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Gastroenterologist and BCSP colonoscopist to join the gastroenterology service in a modern endoscopy suite. The post offers leadership in screening lists, involvement in teaching, and a commitment to high-quality patient care across GI inpatient and outpatient settings.

The successful candidate will provide advanced endoscopy, contribute to the GI work rota, and participate in education, research, and recruitment

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration for practice in the UK
• CCST/Specialist Registration or CESR expected
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent postgrad qualification in gastroenterology
• Postgraduate qualification in gastroenterology or hepatology

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated colonoscopic screening lists as part of GI team
• Share GI inpatient/outpatient responsibilities with colleagues
• Contribute to teaching and supervision of trainees and staff
• Possibly work on other sites within the Trust as needed
• Stay engaged with endoscopy training and education initiatives
