Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an HCPC registered Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join the Specialist Coagulation Laboratory in Blood Sciences. The role involves providing high-quality specialist coagulation services across sites with occasional after-hours work.

You will contribute to analytical Haematology and Transfusion testing, support quality assurance, and help develop the service within a dynamic NHS laboratory team.

Qualifications

• Qualified as an experienced State Registered Biomedical Scientist.
• CPD
• HCPC registration

Responsibilities

• Assess suitability of samples received and validate routine analyses.
• Ensure data integrity when entering results into the laboratory information system.
• Supervise and train trainee staff and colleagues as required.
• Provide technical interpretation and support for haemostasis and thrombosis analyses.
