Job summary

HR GO Recruitment seeks CNC turners for a leading subcontract precision engineering company delivering high-spec components for Formula One, aerospace and defense.

You will set and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, load programmes, inspect pieces, and work with production and quality teams to maintain right-first-time output. Permanent roles with shift options and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to load programmes, set tooling and adjust offsets to achieve tight tolerances.
• Proven track record of producing high-precision turned components.
• Able to read and interpret detailed drawings and tight tolerances.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections to maintain quality.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and right-first-time output.
• Collaborate with production, programming and quality teams.
• Keep work area clean, safe and well organized.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and cycle times.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes to specified tolerances.
• Load programmes, set tooling and adjust offsets.
• Produce high-precision turned components in metals.
• Work to tight tolerances and complex geometries from drawings.
• Perform first-off and in-process inspections to maintain quality.
• Ensure right-first-time output and high cleanliness/organization.
• Collaborate with production, programming and quality teams.
• Maintain safe, clean work surroundings and equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and cycle times.
