Job summary

Tec Partners Recruitment Ltd are seeking a skilled CNC Miller / Programmer to join a precision engineering business in Maldon. You will programme and set milling machines, read engineering drawings and prove out new jobs.

The role requires 3+ years' experience, strong Siemens ShopMill skills, and the ability to work independently within a small, experienced team; Fusion 360 experience is a plus. This is a permanent, full-time position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC milling, programming and setting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens ShopMill.
• Ability to write CNC programmes from scratch.
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Good understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds.
• Able to set and prove out jobs independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Programming and setting CNC milling machines.
• Writing CNC programmes from scratch using Siemens ShopMill.
• Working accurately from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Setting up and proving out new jobs.
• Selecting appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds and machining strategies.
• Producing high-quality precision components to required tolerances.
• Carrying out relevant checks to ensure components meet specification.
• Working closely with a small, experienced engineering team.
