Job summary

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Services Ltd is actively seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Setter for an on-site position in Maldon. You will programme, set and prepare CNC milling jobs, ensuring components are manufactured to drawing specifications.

The role requires writing programmes from scratch, interpreting drawings, tolerances and inspections, and selecting tooling and cutting conditions to maintain quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in CNC programming and setting.
• Proven ability to write CNC programs from scratch.
• Confident working from engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of tolerances and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Programme and set CNC milling machines using Siemens ShopMill.
• Write CNC programmes from scratch from drawings.
• Interpret technical drawings, tolerances and specifications.
• Set up and prove out jobs with appropriate tooling and cutting conditions.
• Prepare jobs for machine operators to run independently.
• Check and inspect own work to ensure parts meet requirements.
• Manage workload and maintain high quality standards.
