Job summary

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong focus on CNC machining to develop and validate manufacturing and inspection processes across multi-discipline projects.

You will drive improvements in machining workflows, tool paths, and verification techniques, while designing manufacturable concepts and supporting project needs with robust, timely outputs.

Qualifications

• In-depth CNC machining expertise including 5-axis work on complex geometries with tight tolerances.
• Experience specifying and integrating CNC machines into production cells; fixtures, tooling, and control options.
• Competent in CAD/CAM (Siemens NX preferred) and in CGTech Vericut simulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in CNC machining processes and tooling strategies.
• Deliver complex CNC development work with minimal supervision while managing risks and budgets.
• Lead CNC capability development, technology roadmap, and team skills alignment.
