Job summary

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry seeks an experienced Technology Manager to lead the Machines and Mechatronics Department. Based in Coventry, you will steer technology strategy and provide technical leadership for projects, aligning with the group capability development roadmap to meet current and future industrial demand.

Qualifications

• A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical projects, taking ownership to ensure work meets or exceeds agreed customer requirements, and is delivered within agreed budgets and timescales.
• Leading Technical Governance for project deliverables within the area of expertise, ensuring adherence to and championing MTC best practices.
• Supporting and working with department leadership to empower a culture of innovation and entrepreneurialism.
• Driving message regarding Health and safety within the team. Show ownership and engagement of Health and Safety to proactively ensure own and colleague’s health (both physical & mental).
• Driving engineering excellence and a continuous improvement culture within the department.
• Lead engagement with providers, HVMC, academia and events.
• Leading by example and demonstrating self-awareness of the ‘shadow you cast’.
