The Machining 4 role is a skilled specialist responsible for advanced CNC machining operations, including machine set‑up, programming (G&M code/Fanuc), and process optimisation across 3- and 5‑axis equipment. Operating under moderate supervision, the role requires a high level of autonomy to plan and execute daily activities, troubleshoot machining issues in real time, and ensure the production of high‑quality aerospace components. The role contributes directly to aftermarket production within the Service & Specialty Products (S&SP) business, supporting on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction. The position also plays a key role in continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring, supporting team capability and operational performance.
