Job summary

Flo, the leading women's health app, is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join the Velocity Internal Platform team. You will embed security into the platform and automate security across infrastructure, CI/CD, and containers to enable fast delivery with trust.

You will own AWS security posture, use GuardDuty, Inspector, Security Hub, and SSM; implement policy as code with Kyverno/Checkov; and help shape security culture across teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security, or Security Engineering.
• Deep expertise in AWS security services and best practices.
• Proficient in Terraform and Terragrunt — infrastructure as code.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes security, image hardening, and admission control.
• Solid understanding of identity management principles — SSO, OAuth, JWT, SAML.
• Automation mindset with scripting in Python or Bash.
• Understanding of modern network security principles.
• Experience building Secure Software Development Lifecycle into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Embed security into the platform so security practices are invisible to developers.
• Automate security as code across infrastructure, CI/CD, and container lifecycles.
• Own and strengthen Flo's AWS security posture with GuardDuty, Inspector, Security Hub, and SSM.
• Harden container image security end‑to‑end; manage policy enforcement with Kyverno.
• Apply policy-as-code across CI/CD using Kyverno and Checkov.
• Build security visibility with dashboards in Databricks or Looker.
• Support privacy features and collaborate across teams to improve security culture.
