Job summary

Crossing Hurdles seeks a senior cloud infrastructure engineer to own and evolve a production platform. You will design and test scalable, secure distributed systems, and build reproducible containerized environments with reference and defective variants.

You will shape infrastructure requirements, run deterministic tests for integration, load, security, deployment, and recovery, and document technical decisions while mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Senior-level cloud infrastructure and platform engineering experience.
• Ownership of a production platform and strong distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with observability, SLOs, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to write infrastructure automation or testing tools.
• Debug containerized environments and implement secure service-to-service communications.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic cloud infrastructure tasks across distributed systems, networking, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Build reproducible containerized environments with reference solutions and defective variants.
• Define measurable requirements for configuration, topology and runtime behavior.
• Develop deterministic integration, load, security, failure-injection, deployment, and recovery tests.
• Debug environments, document technical decisions, and review tasks created by others.
