Job summary

Ensono is hiring for a Senior Public Cloud Engineer to join a small, Agile-based team working on leading public cloud technologies. You will partner with Product Management to operationalize standard cloud services that can be sold to multiple managed service customers.

You will define and evolve public cloud standards, onboard new AWS and GCP services, and provide SME support to other teams. Strong automation focus, scalable and secure solutions are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supporting mission-critical environments with a customer focus.
• 5+ years architecting or supporting public cloud solutions on AWS or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of AWS/GCP best practices, security and patterns.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and config management tools.
• Certifications in AWS or Google Cloud are valued or demonstrated knowledge.
• Hands-on with automation, scripting, Linux, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with containerized environments and related tooling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer on Product Engineering epics and stories.
• Operationalize new repeatable public cloud services and solutions.
• Define and evolve technical standards for repeatability, security and scalability.
• Evaluate tech stack via research, bake-offs and PoCs.
• Onboard new AWS and GCP services aligned to product roadmap.
• Drive deployment of infrastructure using IaC and automation.
• Provide SME guidance to pre-sales and act as escalation for cloud ops.
• Stay current on public cloud services and related tech.
