Job summary

Schroders is seeking a Principal Cloud Platform Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud platforms across Azure and AWS from London. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive cloud strategy and governance while ensuring the highest standards of security and reliability.

You will contribute to a transformational cloud programme, mentoring engineers and shaping best practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience architecting, engineering and implementing cloud solutions on Azure and AWS.
Strong focus on security across cloud infrastructure and services.
Deep knowledge of virtualization, Kubernetes, Windows and Linux, storage, databases and networking.
Experience with modern DevOps tooling (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible).
Familiarity with SDLC and agile practices.
Cloud certifications for Azure or AWS a plus.
University degree in IT/CS or related field.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures across Azure and AWS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into cloud solutions.
Drive cloud-first strategy with reusable patterns and governance.
Provide technical leadership to development teams for cloud-based apps and services.
Evaluate and improve existing cloud infrastructure for performance, security and reliability.
Create comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures and processes.
