Job summary

Loftware is expanding its Cloud Operations team and seeks a Cloud Operations Architecture Lead who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership. You will serve as the primary escalation point for complex cloud issues while driving operational excellence and structured delivery across the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and distributed systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve advanced issues across distributed systems with deep knowledge of cloud services, networking, automation and platform dependencies.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and drive cloud infrastructure improvements using structured, iterative delivery practices.
• Preferred experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a technical or team leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex cloud infrastructure, reliability, and performance issues.
• Plan, coordinate, and drive cloud infrastructure improvement initiatives using structured, iterative delivery approaches.
• Facilitate team workflows (planning, standups, retrospectives) to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and optimize cloud environments through automation and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and architecture teams to align priorities and delivery timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement, including adoption of new technologies and cost optimization strategies.
• Mentor and coach engineers, supporting technical growth and fostering a strong team culture.
