Job summary

evoke seeks a Lead Cloud Architect to steer the architectural vision across our technology landscape in the UK. You will drive scalable, secure cloud platforms, mentor a team of architects, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to align architecture with business priorities.

You will define standards, governance, and roadmaps, translating business needs into robust cloud solutions while fostering technical excellence and innovation across cloud services and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of AWS services, cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Expertise in architectural patterns, cloud-native design, microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience leading architecture teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Ability to define architecture standards, governance frameworks and roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, message brokers, APIs; familiarity with C#, SQL, and Java.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the cloud architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the design and governance of scalable, secure cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Establish and maintain cloud architecture standards, principles, blueprints and best practices.
• Translate business requirements into cloud architecture solutions that support roadmaps and value delivery.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of architects while promoting technical excellence.
• Drive architectural decision-making and governance across complex cloud systems and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align initiatives with priorities.
• Promote innovation, continuous improvement and cloud engineering best practices for scalable solutions.
