Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineering Manager to lead 24/7 Cloud Operations and the expanding Site Reliability Engineering function within Enterprise Cloud. You will shape reliability practices, drive automation, and foster a high-performing team across engineering, architecture, cyber security, product and supplier groups.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Technology Operations or SRE teams in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and team development.
• A solid technical background supporting and operating production services.
• Experience leading major incidents and driving service reliability improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience delivering automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Understanding of operational resilience, disaster recovery and technology risk management.
• Experience with SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs and error budgets.

• Lead and develop Operations and SRE teams, creating a culture of ownership, learning and continuous improvement.
• Drive automation, observability and modern operational practices to reduce toil and improve customer outcomes.
• Lead major incidents, stakeholder communications and post-incident improvement activity.
• Embed SRE principles and balance reliability, risk and delivery priorities.
• Partner with technical, business and supplier teams to deliver resilient, scalable services.
• Support the evolution of Enterprise Cloud through platform modernisation, automation and operational transformation
