Appvia is recruiting a Senior Cloud Network Engineer for a new secure public sector engagement. You will design, implement, and operate secure network infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments, combining hands‑on engineering with automation and continuous improvement.

We value strong AWS networking and Cisco expertise, including ACI/Nexus, plus experience with VPN/IPSec, BGP/OSPF, and enterprise security. Hybrid work with UK security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network environments.
• Deep understanding of routing and switching (BGP/OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VRFs).
• Cisco networking expertise, ideally including ACI/Nexus and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support, and improve secure network infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Own complex network incidents, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis.
• Lead planned network changes, upgrades, migrations, and optimisation activities.
• Design and support routing, switching, firewalling, VPN, and load‑balancing solutions.
• Use automation and infrastructure‑as‑code to improve repeatability and efficiency.
