Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants and LLM-assisted development is valued in place of any formal AI certification.
• Experience delivering features and integrations hands-on within a cloud/software engineering environment (2-3 years).
• Experience building services on AWS (ECS Fargate, SQS, MSK, S3, IAM, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot; exposure to Debezium and Postgres/Aurora is a plus.
• Some experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Exposure to observability tooling such as Dynatrace; any reporting/visualisation tools is beneficial.
• Interest in AI coding assistants and LLM-assisted development as part of the software lifecycle.
• Exposure to Oracle is a minor plus; knowledge of financial services or SWIFT payments is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integration solutions and cloud-native components across CAB's technology estate.
• Develop integrations with third-party systems using AWS services, from design to delivery.
• Write production-quality code and tests, owning features end-to-end.
• Contribute ideas to design discussions and flag risks.
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines with Git and GitHub Actions.
• Support observability and data quality monitoring using Dynatrace.
• Use AI coding assistants and LLM-assisted development as routine practice.
• Translate requirements into working software with stakeholders across Technology and Operations.
• Participate in code and design reviews to raise quality.
• Identify and fix gaps, bugs, or opportunities across the integration estate.
