CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking a Senior Technical Architect - Cloud & Microservices for a major technology programme. The role sits at architectural level but remains hands-on when required, operating in a hybrid model with 2 days a week on site in Telford.

The architect will define robust, scalable software solutions, drive architectural decisions and collaborate with developers and stakeholders in an Agile delivery context.

Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Hands-on architectural design and guidance to teams.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be the key contact for technical/software architecture, making design decisions.
• Define and design software solutions focusing on stability and performance.
• Develop architectural views and interaction between components.
• Ensure alignment with long-term technical strategy and architecture.
• Support solutions through construction and collaborate with development teams.
• Provide technical direction to architects, developers and managers.
• Champion architectural standards and maintain documentation.
• Help build and develop an effective software engineering team.
• Work within Agile environments and contribute to delivery lifecycle.
• Balance technical decisions with business and strategic needs.
• Bring curiosity and hands-on approach when needed.
