Job summary

Millgate in Sheffield is seeking a Senior Technical Services Engineer to design, scope, implement, and support complex IT solutions for clients and internal systems. The role combines consultancy, infrastructure design, project delivery, major incident management, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across Microsoft technologies, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Proven MSP/PS environment background.
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure implementation experience.
• Experience leading technical projects and managing major incidents.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong client-facing communication and consultancy skills.
• Experience producing technical designs and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand objectives, requirements, challenges and risks.
• Conduct discovery workshops and site assessments.
• Produce designs, proposals, statements of work and implementation plans.
• Recommend tech solutions aligning with client requirements and best practices.
• Support pre-sales with technical guidance and solution architecture.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement and cloud adoption.
• Lead delivery of complex infrastructure and transformation projects.
• Deploy, configure and migrate M365, Azure, hybrid cloud, network and security environments.
• Manage infrastructure upgrades, system replacements and cloud migrations.
• Ensure on-time, in-scope delivery to high technical standards.
